AI-Generated Content Disclosure

Last updated: 9/1/2026

canning.recipes uses artificial-intelligence (“AI”) tools in parts of its editorial and production workflow. This page explains where AI assistance may appear and its limitations.

Content That May Be AI-Assisted

Text, summaries, recipe formatting, translations, metadata, classifications, research organization, illustrations, photographs, captions, alt text, or other materials may be generated, transformed, or assisted by AI. AI may help identify duplicates, structure sources, improve readability, or propose revisions.

Materially AI-assisted content may be labeled where practical. Absence of a label does not guarantee that no AI tool contributed to a production step.

Human Review Does Not Eliminate Error

AI-assisted content is human-reviewed under our editorial workflow. Review does not guarantee accuracy, completeness, safety, originality, currency, or suitability. AI can hallucinate, omit critical conditions, mistranscribe quantities, confuse units, misidentify images, invent citations, or produce plausible but unsafe instructions. Humans can also err.

AI Is Not a Food-Safety Authority

AI output is not scientific validation, laboratory testing, regulatory approval, or professional food-safety advice. AI cannot establish a safe canning process, calculate a new schedule, verify heat penetration, or determine whether a modification controls pathogens.

A recipe is not “tested” because AI generated it, a human read it, it resembles another recipe, or it appears here. Safety claims should trace to current authoritative sources such as USDA, NCHFP, or competent local public-health or extension guidance.

Your Verification Responsibility

Independently verify every process against a current authoritative source. Confirm ingredients, proportions, acid strength, jar size, headspace, pack style, canner type, venting, time, pressure, altitude adjustment, cooling, and storage. If the source cannot be verified or information conflicts, do not use it for shelf-stable canning.

AI-Generated Images

Images may be synthetic, composited, enhanced, or AI-generated. They may depict plausible but technically inaccurate jars, foods, equipment, labels, seals, or steps. Images are illustrative and must never be used to judge seal integrity, headspace, equipment, completion, spoilage, doneness, identity, or compliance.

Sources, Rights, and Corrections

We seek to preserve provenance and avoid presenting AI output as a third party’s work or endorsement. AI may nevertheless generate material similar to existing work. Send rights concerns or factual, attribution, image, or safety corrections to [email protected], identifying the URL and basis.

No Warranty or Reliance

To the fullest extent permitted by law, AI-assisted material is provided “as is,” without warranty, and must not be the sole basis for preservation, health, purchasing, or safety decisions. The Terms of Use and General Disclaimer & Food Safety Disclaimer also apply.
