What to look for
- A rack designed for the selected canner
- Stable support for the jar sizes allowed by the tested recipe
- Enough clearance for required water coverage and boiling action
- No sharp, damaged, or unstable surfaces
Canners supplied with racks
These water-bath canners include compatible racks. Use them only for high-acid or properly acidified foods when a tested recipe specifies boiling-water processing.
All American replacement racks
Match the rack to the exact pressure-canner model. A correctly sized rack keeps jars separated from direct contact with the canner bottom.
Safe-use reminder
Do not improvise a rack that allows jars to touch the vessel bottom, tip, or prevent required water circulation. Confirm compatibility with the canner manufacturer’s instructions.
