What to look for

Do not treat hot or clean jars as sterile unless they have been prepared by the method required by current authoritative guidance.

Safe-use reminder

Equipment does not make an untested recipe safe. Use a current authoritative home-canning process that specifies the food, preparation, jar size, canner type, time or pressure, and altitude adjustment. Follow the equipment manufacturer’s current instructions.
