Ingredients
- 9-11 lbs pickling cucumbers
- 4 2/3 cups commercial white vinegar (5% acidity)
- 2 cups water
- 7 cups granulated sugar
- 1 pouch Mrs. Wages® Quick Process® Sweet Pickle Mix
Equipment
- 1 Boiling-water bath canner with rack
- 1 Large stainless or enamel preserving pot
- 1 Canning jars with two-piece lids
- 1 Headspace and bubble tool
Directions
- Wash cucumbers and cut into slices. Combine Mrs. Wages® Quick Process® Sweet Pickle Mix, vinegar, water, and sugar in a large non- aluminum pot. Bring mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture dissolves. Pack cucumbers in sterilized pint jars, leaving 1/2-inch headspace.
- Evenly pour hot pickling liquid over cucumbers leaving 1/2-inch headspace. Cover and process 10 minutes in boiling water bath.
